"add it to the list"

i have a running list of frivolous things, places, restaurants, music, etc. and i feel like i have heard myself say the words "add it to the list" a lot lately...

today's addition to "the list" comes in the form of something pink (shocker) and pint-sized.  yes, film may be out of date, and yes, i am still lusting over the big guy (Nikon D3000, which luckily i can borrow from our agency for the time being) but i would love to have a little fun with this guy by my side:

photog field trip - union station

i mentioned awhile back that lindsay & i were taking a photography class to improve our camera skills.  i am thrilled to start exploring the city and taking pictures that aren't blurry to really capture the amazing experiences and places i've been in my life.

this morning we bundled up for our first "field trip" - shooting various indoor and outdoor locations at Union Station.  it is visually stunning building and i was in love with the ceilings.

so here they are, first pictures taken when i actually have a clue what i'm doing (all taken in manual mode)

i got the water to freeze! much harder than it seems
